Exceptional and very rare porcelain espresso coffee set from the famous Tendentse collection, introduced by Alessi between the late 1980s and early 1990s. The iconic design bears the signature of the master of Italian design, Alessandro Mendini.
This specific set stands out for its sculptural lines and the refined silk-screened graphic decoration that wraps around every single element. A piece of history of mid-century modern and Memphis design, perfect for demanding collectors or to bring a touch of postmodern art into your home.
The service consists of nine pieces in total, including the main coffee pot, the sugar bowl, and the creamer, accompanied by six espresso cups with their coordinated saucers. From a conservation standpoint, the entire set is in excellent vintage condition: the porcelain has retained its original brilliance, the colors of the graphic decoration are vivid, and there are no flaws such as chips, cracks, or later restorations. The original Alessi Tendentse hallmark is clearly visible on the bottom of each element, authenticating the set. The service is sold without its original period box, but it will be packaged with the utmost care.
